FAQ

Most homes land around $1,200 and up, with smaller displays starting around $700. Your exact price depends on the size of your home, how much roofline and how many trees or features you want lit, and how tricky the access is. Every quote is custom and includes the lights, the design, professional installation, season long maintenance, takedown, and storage, so there are no surprise add-ons later.

For most people, yes. You skip the ladder, the tangled strands, the burned-out bulbs, and the risky roof work, and you get a clean commercial-grade display that actually looks designed. When you add up the cost of buying quality lights, your time, and the safety risk, hiring a pro usually pencils out close to doing it yourself, except your house looks far better and you never lift a finger.
We do. Pure Shine installs Christmas lights for homes and businesses across Whatcom County and Skagit County, so if you’re nearby, we’ve most likely got you covered.

We cover Whatcom County and Skagit County, including Bellingham, Ferndale, Lynden, Blaine, Birch Bay, Everson, Custer, Sumas, Deming, Mount Vernon, Burlington, Sedro-Woolley, Anacortes, and La Conner. If you’re in the area and don’t see your town, reach out and we’ll let you know.

Everything from start to finish. We provide the commercial-grade lights, walk your property and design the look with you, install it all professionally, keep it running all season, take it down after the holidays, and store your lights until next year. You get the whole thing handled and a display that’s ready the moment you want it lit.
We provide them. Every install uses our own commercial-grade lights, and we store them for you after the season, so you never have to buy, untangle, or stuff anything back in the attic. When the next holiday rolls around, we pull your lights out and put them right back up.

We use commercial-grade C9 LED lights. They’re brighter, tougher, and longer-lasting than anything you’ll find at the big box stores, and they hold up beautifully through our wet, windy Northwest winters. They also sip electricity compared to old incandescent bulbs.

In most cases we install our own commercial-grade lights only. We can’t stand behind the safety or quality of lights we didn’t supply, and using our own gear keeps the look consistent and the install backed by our service guarantee.

Yes. We light up storefronts, offices, and commercial properties along with homes throughout Whatcom and Skagit County. A well-lit building pulls in foot traffic and sets the holiday tone, and we handle the whole thing so your team doesn’t have to.

We focus purely on seasonal Christmas lighting rather than permanent year-round systems. A lot of folks actually prefer this route, since you get a fresh, professionally designed display every year, full maintenance all season, and none of the big upfront cost of a permanent install. We put them up, keep them perfect, take them down, and store them for you.

Yes, we’re fully insured, and our crew is trained for safe ladder and rooftop work. That protects your home and our team, and it’s something you should confirm with anyone you let up on your roof.

No. For exterior work we can design, measure, and install whether you’re home or not. We’ll line everything up by phone or email, and you can come home to a fully lit house.

Yes. Our crew is equipped to safely handle rooflines, steep pitches, tall peaks, and two-story homes that you really shouldn’t be climbing around on yourself. Handling the high, risky spots safely is a big part of why people hire us.

Absolutely. Warm white, pure white, classic multicolor, or a specific palette to match your home, it’s your call. We design the layout around your house and your taste, and you can switch up the look in future seasons.

We start with a free, no-pressure consultation. We come out, walk the property with you, talk through the look you want, and give you a clear design and quote so you can picture the whole thing before we install a single bulb. Once you approve it, we get you on the schedule.

The earlier the better. Our schedule fills up fast through October and November, and the best install dates and the prime spots go first. Booking early also means your lights are ready exactly when you want them glowing.

Takedown is included, and we start removing lights in early January, working through our customers over a few weeks. You don’t touch a thing, and we store your lights for next year.

We fix it, usually within 72 hours. Season-long maintenance is built into your price, so if a strand or bulb quits, we come back and make it right. You should never be stuck staring at a dark patch in December.

Yes, a deposit reserves your spot on our schedule, and the balance is due once your lights are installed. We accept cash, check and credit cards!
